God Protects Us

Your fears are not absurd.

Your fears are not absurd. The world is shot through with real risks — a phone call announcing bad news, a journey on a tired road, an encounter that turns sour. The protection God promises is not a magic shield that would let you escape every trial — He did not spare that even from His own Son.

It is a different kind of protection: a dwelling, a place where your soul rests even when your circumstances tremble. There are things that may reach you outwardly; there are others, deeper, that He keeps safe as long as you abide in Him.

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
