The question is not really theoretical — it arises when the bank account empties too fast, when nights run short because of a child, when you feel like one file among a thousand in a system that does not see you. Does God Himself care about me — not about humanity in general, about me, with my name, my fatigue, my bill arriving on Friday?
Jesus does not answer with a promise of wealth. He points to a sparrow. If the Father feeds what does not sow, what will He not do for a son, for a daughter? You do not have to earn His attention by being productive or deserving: you have it because you are His. Worry is not a sin — it is an invitation to remember who takes care of you.
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
Matthew 6:26
