We often dream of a complete plan: the whole road in advance, every turn announced. But that is almost never how God leads. He speaks more readily at the crossroads than at home.
The verse says it with touching precision: the voice is heard “when you turn to the right or to the left.” Not before. At the moment of choice. Just in time.
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.”
Isaiah 30:21
A voice behind you: God does not shove you forward. He walks with you like a shepherd at the back of the flock, attentive to the one who hesitates.
You do not have to know everything this morning. You have to stay close enough to hear, when the moment comes, the word that points the way. Walk on, and listen.
