Thomas asks the question we all carry: “Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” An honest question from a man who feels lost, a little anxious. Jesus’ answer changes everything.
He does not say, “Here is the map.” He does not say, “Here are ten rules.” He says, “I am the way.” The way is not information to receive — it is a person to follow.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
This changes how we search. You do not first need to know where to go; you need to know with whom to walk. Where he is, the way opens beneath your feet.
When you cannot see the road, it does not necessarily mean you have gone wrong. Perhaps he is inviting you to walk closer to him. Follow the person, and the way will come.
