We live in a world where getting lost seems impossible. GPS recalculates, corrects, anticipates. No blame, just a new route proposed. But in our inner lives, who recalculates?
There are moments when we realise we've taken a wrong turn. Not on the road, but in our choices, our relationships, our priorities. And then the temptation is strong: to panic, to condemn ourselves, to freeze. As if one wrong turn erased the destination.
God's Word tells us something extraordinary. God does not abandon navigation when we go astray. He recalculates — but in grace. That's the difference. A technical GPS recalculates coldly. God recalculates with love, with patience, with knowledge of who we truly are.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
Psalm 32:8 (ESV)
Jesus says: “I am the way.” Not “I know the way.” He himself is the road. You cannot truly get lost if you stay in His company — even when the route seems less direct than expected.
So perhaps right now you feel a little lost. Perhaps the path looks less like a clear highway and more like a winding trail. That's normal. Life is not a straight line.
But your Guide has never lost the signal.
